Laveggio Roastera is an artisan coffee roaster and espresso bar located in Binghamton, NY.
We roast "Old School" on a drum roaster in the artisan tradition, which means that we roast using only our senses and experience to manage the roasting process. The use of computerized controllers to manage the environment in the drum, end the roast, or maximize loads-per-hour is not artisan roasting, and we don't use them.
We roast and serve only the highest quality "Specialty Coffee," that means no commercial grade coffee and no flavored coffees - ever.
In the Espresso Bar we brew to the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) standards using FETCO brewers. All of are espresso drinks are hand crafted on our 4 group La Marzocco Linea. We use Mazzer and Mahlkonig grinders and are obsessed with brew temps, milk texture and the perfect extraction.
Additionally, we offer fine teas and cold beverages. A variety of sweet treats are available from local pastry chefs as well as special treats by CAKEette.
Laveggio can also guide you through the process of starting your new cafe. We sell Nuova Simonelli espresso machines and FETCO brewers as well as Mahlkonig and Mazzer grinders.
We also offer start-up consulting and training for new cafes and restaurants, custom blending and toll roasting services.
As a member of the Gorgeous Washington Street Association, we support our local artist community. Our free bookshelf represents us as an "Official Bookcrossing Zone" (see our Friends section).
